Camera Angles
Medium long shot is a shot only taken from knee to the head. As you can see in this picture medium long shot show most part of the background. In this picture the main focus is not the background full of fire the main focus is the male character who make this explosion. Therefore, the audiences response to this shot will be quite shocking because a huge explosion has been caused by one character

close up is a shot taken from the shoulder to head this allows the audience to see the emotion the character is going through. Therefore in this picture which is taken from the movie ' I spit on your grave' shows us the emotion the character is going through the response to the audience to this scene is feeling sorry for the character because the character is going through a stage of doing something that they do not want to do.

Extreme close up is a shot taken closer into the face like the picture shown. Extreme close up highlights the emotions in more details such as in this picture we can see the loneliness and frightened feeling in his eyes. This makes the  audience understand the feeling the character is going through and it makes the audience feel the same way the character is.

In the clip 'fast and furious' crane movement is being
used from 0:15 to 0:20 the panning shot is being used.
Crane movement is when the camera is following the object.

High and Low angles
High angle makes the character look small
because its higher than the character and its aim is to make the

character look less powerful.
Low angles make the character bigger than they
actually are because the camera is been placed on the
floor the character to look bigger and more powerful.
camera movements
In the clip 'orphan' a tilt  shot is used as the characters and their location is shown along with their actions the camera moves side to side because there is a face to face conversation going on.
used from 0:15 to 0:20 the panning shot is being used.
Crane movement is when the camera is following the object.
Conclusion: By researching cinematography it helped me develop ideas about thriller because it taught me a lot of skills that i can use in my future for my own video.

Hazel, again, some really good ideas here and example well chosen. You have analysed examples well and have referred back to the audience.
ReplyDeleteTo improve;
-can you work on the layout of the post? You need to provide terms and definitions with an image for each idea rather than have some things appear at the start of your post and the rest later.
-some of your writing can not be been, can you make it all a colour that is visible against the black please?
Miss, Blogger does not allow me to change my layout of my post.
ReplyDeleteI have changed the colour of my background.
