genres are categories films are put into according to their narratives.It is important to have genres because it helps people to access movies quicker. Therefore knowing the genre of a film can get your mind ready of what is going to happen in the film or it will give you a knowledge about the film.

Thriller is a genre of a novel or either a movie.  Thriller generally creates a chilling response from the audience. Thriller often fear characters, situations or setting. Thriller mainly has dull colors that also highlights to the audience that tension and suspense will be created from the audience while watching the thriller, but a desire to stay within the narrative.

why is the movie "I spit on your grave" a thriller genre?

The film "I spit on your grave" is thriller because there are many dull colors used such as black background and there are many blacked out scenes . Therefore, there is also crime and rape scenes in the movie which also shows us thriller.The story line is also unexpected which shows us another sign of thriller. The main situation in the movie "i spit on your grave" is a innocent young writer going to another village for peace and ideas for her next book while shes living in the peaceful village she comes across with 5 men that rape her after that horrible moment the young girl disappears and gets revenge of the 5 men by horribly hurting them such as bathing one of the men with acidic water. 

Why is the movie "salt" a thriller genre?

Angelina Jolie has took part in the movie salt which caught the audiences attention. Therefore, in salt there is a huge twist which shocks the whole audience.The main character is accused of being a secret agent meanwhile because of this misunderstanding she has told to be found and killed because of this alert she trained to become powerful and strong. meanwhile witin the time she kills people and sets traps up there are also jumping scenes that when the cars crash it makes the audience feel scared and makes them feel sorry for the innocent people that got killed within the car crash.The huge twist was when Angelina Jolie actually becomes a secret agent knowing that she become a secret agent shocked many people and upset them because they wasn't expecting a twist like that to take place.

Audiences will react differently in different sub genres because different sub genres create different feelings to the audience. Horror thriller will have loads of tension in the film and make the audience feel uncomfortable. However a action thriller would be calm but have disturbing scenes within the film. Crime thriller would also make the audience uncomfortable because it will have many killing scenes involved and it will have loads of blood.

sub genres are how a thriller should be set out therefore it is also extra addition to the movie for example crime thriller, disaster thriller and psychology thriller.

i have found out and learnt many interesting facts about thriller movies by doing this post I also have a better knowledge about thriller movies.Therefore, one of the main facts that i have learnt by researching is that thriller can be divided into many little sub genres such as crime thriller knowing that got me very into thriller.By doing this post i have watched many other thriller movies that i wouldn't of watched before if i didn't research.
