What was the preliminary task? and how effective was the preliminary task?
The preliminary task was a practise session for my group and I to film a conversation and for us to figure out our strengths and weaknesses.  For example my weakest point was be able to hold the camera in focus and my strongest points were the camera angles and sizes. By doing the preliminary task we built up our knowledge within our roles and settings

Here my use of space was not very effective

because I had a lot of empty space in the video.

By having a lot of space, the focus

 was not on the characters because

the audience would see the extra space.

Here you can see that there is good use of space and I did not film any extra space around the characters of focus, for example our character has used up all the space and is in a dominant position. Here you can see my framing and general use of space is better. 

In this shot we can see that the panel shot has not been used
properly because we cant see the shoulder of the character. And in this
frame I can see loads of empty spaces that hasn't been used.

I improved in our movements and made the
character move more often and the camera
would follow our character as he moves.



The editing improved here because I was able to
show the movement of
the male character better as he comes into the house.
The way this has been edited is
 better than our preliminary because it looks more
intense for the audience.

The editing on this shot is not very good because the frame
before looked a bit like a
jump cut and was a noticeable edit instead of a smooth one.

Personal reflection

I believe that I made a successful thriller because we improved on our preliminary task which highlights that we have contributed and improved in our work. Therefore, We gathered a lot of primary and secondary research which gave us an idea on how to make our work better and how to make it successful.

I mostly enjoyed filming our scenes and including loads of blood because we got to be creative and make real blood and make our scenes look realistic.

To improve we should of included more camera shots.

From the whole process I learnt how to produce primary sound and include it to the thriller movie. I also learnt how to film and bring alive an actual storyboard.
